The Open Water Diver PADI training in Koh Lanta with Apo Dhatu Divers

The 1st level diving course / PADI Open Water Diver with us, in Koh Lanta, is the training par excellence, to start scuba diving. In other words, this training is the 1st level diving certificate at PADI. It will bring you all the theoretical knowledge, and all the basic techniques inherent in recreational diving.

This training, very complete, will allow you to evolve underwater, in complete autonomy. In general, diving professionals guide you and show you all the curiosities and wonders of the surroundings. However, you will reach a sufficient level to evolve without a professional during your dives.

This scuba diving course consists of three main phases:

1. The theory

Is done online, from home and at your own pace, both on smartphone, tablet, and computer. Moreover, it is very interactive and in your language. However, we will be at your side if you feel the need.
The final test is also done online and everything is done to prepare you as well as possible.
You will be able to start as soon as you receive your installation code. Namely, this theory is quite substantial, therefore, we encourage you to start it quickly.
Indeed, it would be preferable to finish it before arriving at our center, in order to move on to the second stage as soon as you arrive.

2. Pool training

It only takes half a day to learn all the techniques of scuba diving in complete safety. In any case, you will be 3 maximum with the monitor. In fact, it allows for better learning. As soon as this half day / day is done, you will be ready for your first day in open water.

3. Open water dives

There are 4 dives to perform during which you will repeat the exercises learned in the pool. In this sense, it is done in 2 days, with 2 dives per day.
The dives are done from a boat, in one of the surrounding national parks, where marine life abounds.

Certificate

At the end of the open water dives and the exercises carried out, you will be certified Open Water Diver and will obtain the 1st level PADI certificate. Therefore, you will be able to dive, independently, to a depth of 18m.
