PADI deep diver specialty in Koh Lanta?

Participating in the deep diving specialty training called Deep Diver, in Koh Lanta, means enjoying the warm and clear waters where life abounds on all sides.

Wrecks and marine life in depth

The wrecks often lie thirty meters deep or even more. Therefore, additional knowledge and techniques are required.

Depth of dives

Note that the depth of the dives, during the PADI deep diving specialty training in Koh Lanta, vary between 18 and 40 meters maximum. In this respect, all dives are thus carried out without decompression and the deepest dives are always done as the first dive of the day.

If you’ve earned the PADI Adventure Diver rating or higher, and you’re at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.

This will increase your theoretical knowledge and your diving techniques and allow you to access many other sites.

Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:

  • Specialized deep diving equipment.
  • Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.
  • Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.
