Not at all! You don’t need to start in a swimming pool for your first underwater breaths. You can do your introductory dive directly in the ocean in a sheltered, shallow area under the direct supervision of your instructor.
What is the minimum age for an introductory dive? Our boat-based ocean program is open to children aged 10 and above. (For younger children aged 8 and 9, a dedicated program limited to a maximum depth of 5 meters is available in a pool only). What is the difference between Try Scuba and Basic Diver SSI?Why choose Basic Diver? Your training is valid for 6 months and directly counts as credit toward your Open Water Diver course if you decide to continue your dive education. You won’t have to repeat the initial skills!
