If you want to broaden your knowledge without committing to a certified course, the SSI Basic Diver program, offered by Apo Dhatu Divers, will help you determine if you enjoy scuba diving.
Although it’s not a true diving certification, your introductory dive on Koh Lanta will allow you to learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and discover, during a quick and easy introduction, what exploring the underwater world is like.
This program is similar to the Try Scuba program, offering a more intense immersion experience and even more thrills.
You’ll learn techniques that will allow you to become very comfortable underwater and have a closer interaction with marine life, with the respect and kindness that this place demands.

After a few explanations, this will be enough to allow you to fully appreciate this first dive. Especially under the direct supervision of an SSI professional. The challenge
The biggest challenge for instructors during the Learn to Basic Diver program in Koh Lanta, is not to encourage participants to get in the water, but rather to get them out of the water when the program is over.
During the Basic Diver with Apo Dhatu Divers, in Koh Lanta, you learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a SSI Professional. If you make an open water dive, you’ll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure.
