The PADI Scuba Diver training with us, in Koh Lanta, is a subset of the 1st Level – Open Water Diver PADI training.
Indeed, this training includes the first 3 theoretical chapters of the Open Water Diver, the first 2 sessions of exercises in a confined environment as well as 2 of the 4 dives of the 1st Level – Open Water Diver PADI course.

The PADI Scuba Diver training is for you!
This training requires less time than the 1st Level – Open Water Diver PADI training, since it is a subset of this training. Therefore, it results in a limited certification.
If you want to dive with a dive guide, consider becoming a PADI Scuba Diver.
This Scuba Diver training in Koh Lanta, with Apo Dhatu Divers, allows you to experience many types of dives, and it is a good preparation for the 1st Level – Open Water Diver training, if this is your final goal.
PADI Scuba Diver are qualified to
Dive under the direct supervision of a Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or PADI Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.
Continue their dive training and complete Level 1 – Open Water Diver training.
After the first dives in the pool or in the natural environment, you will feel the pleasure of diving, growing in you. In other words, supervised by competent people, you will take your first steps in the underwater world to discover everything you had imagined and much more. Because it is a world that will fascinate you very quickly.
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development (online) to understand basic principles of scuba diving – just the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course.
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills – just the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course
- Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore – just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course.
