Emergency Oxygen Provider

The Emergency Oxygen Provider course in Koh Lanta are no prerequisites, age restrictions or water sessions required. It’s open to everyone. Scuba divers, snork elers and anyone who is around divers, boat crew, lifeguards, etc. will benefit from having this training.

During this PADI training, you’ll learn about dive injuries, different types of emergency oxygen equipment and safety considerations when using oxygen.

Then you’ll practice:

• Assembling and disassembling emergency oxygen equipment.
• Deploying a non-rebreather mask and a demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver.
• Using a pocket mask on a nonbreathing diver.

Assembling and disassembling emergency oxygen equipment

Handling materials with a high oxygen content presents some peculiarities to which you must be attentive.
During the Emergency Oxygen Provider training, you learn these particularities.

Deploying a non-rebreather mask and a demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver

When to use an on-demand mask and when to use an inhaler mask. This is also another challenge to be met during this training.

Using a pocket mask on a nonbreathing diver

How to use such a mask on a non-breathing diver. Again, the techniques you will learn will allow you to assist a diver who is not breathing.
